The Blue Jays seem to be flying upwards on air currents. The spiraling motion creates a mesmerizing, calming feeling in the viewer. When Blue Jay spins, an infinity symbol that symbolizes the circle of life, is created when the two sides of the spiral crossover each other.

These Blue Jays spin easily with very little wind.

The wind sculpture is based on brilliant, majestic Blue Jays that used to frequent my bird feeder in Santa Fe, NM.
